Race and Identity in American Fiction
Contributors are invited to submit critical works that examine issues related to constructions of race and identity in any period of American literature, film, digital texts, etc. Potential topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Constructions of national identity, race, gender, and/or socioeconomic status
- Immigrant narratives
- Multiculturalist narratives
- Raced language
- Constructing and problematizing notions of whiteness
- Notions of citizenship
- Colonialism and empire
